Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1790.

Tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with a solid fret, three turned and carved urn-and-flame finials on fluted plinths, diamond-shaped sidelights, free-standing fluted columns with gilt capitals and bases at the front corners, turned quarter columns at the rear corners and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top and a case door with an astragal top. Base with cove molding at the top. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals, and a moon phase dial in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial and a calendar aperture. The dial is engraved "Shipman Norwich." Eight day movement.
